Abstract
A plenary keynote speech to the 15th International Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Ethics and Compliance Conference with messages relating to ESG Strategies for Creating a Sustainable Corporate Future, namely that we must recognise that we are the cause of our own problems; understand the distinction between strategic direction and operational management; confront the challenges of the context within which we operate; grasp the opportunities that accompany our challenges; use our discretion to act; collaborate and act collectively; be more open and transparent; see ESG as an opportunity; help people to make more responsible choices; and act now.
