About the Repository

Greenwich Academic Literature Archive is a digital research open access repository storing published and non-published publications and artefacts created by members of the University. The material held in this repository is freely accessible over the Internet and aims to reach the widest possible audience. Where it is not possible to include a copy of the full text, external links to the online published version and details about the research is provided. GALA provides free access to peer-reviewed articles, conference papers, theses and book chapters and more produced by researchers at the university. GALA currently includes over 13,500 live items of which over 40% are available in full text. It is an essential part of the University's submission process to the Research Excellence Framework and will continue to be an important mechanism supporting the wider open access agenda

Anyone can access, search and browse the Greenwich Academic Literature Archive (GALA) from within and outside the university's network but only members of the University of Greenwich are allowed to deposit to this archive. You will also find GALA items in search engine results and Google Scholar just like other institutional research repositories.

Any correspondence concerning GALA should be sent to gala@gre.ac.uk.
