Abstract
As the new Government Statutory Multiplication Tables Check is rolled out nationally in 2020 to all Year 4 children, this article supports schools in ways to prepare their staff and children, so that there is a whole school approach to the teaching, learning and understanding of Times Tables. It shares elements of a large research project across 5 Local Authorities, and sets out to help schools avoid issues from the past around learning Times Tables.
