Abstract

Aim of this Kickstarter Knowledge Exchange (KE) project was to collaboratively develop a proof of concept for a tool to support implementers of the coaching model for supervision, particularly in the early stages at their Trust or Institution. For this, I worked together with colleagues and members from the “London Network for Coaching Supervision model” group, led by Faizun Nahar (NHS England), and with the company Medtribe.com to provide a platform and technical expertise. We held a total of three online workshops spread over three project phases. The first phase was the requirements elicitation phase, for which we held two workshops. Each workshop had an attendance between 8 and 14 participants, which consisted of current coaching model implementers, future implementers, educators, a representative from Medtribe.com, and a dedicated notetaker. This project demonstrated that there is a clear appetite for support and mutual exchange on the experiences of implementing a coaching model to supervision in practice. Especially, right at the beginning when an implementer has to set-up the coaching model for the first time in their Trust or institution, support and resources are useful, which can show the breadth of already implemented versions of the coaching model and how it could be adapted to the specific context.
