Abstract
This paper investigates the impact of educational innovation on optimizing organisational efficiency, drawing insights from the G-SEL 2024 Conference. It explores key dimensions of innovation—including technology integration, pedagogical advancements, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and real-world applications—within the framework of the General Innovation Ecosystem Model. The study aims to answer the research question: How can educational innovation be effectively harnessed to enhance organisational efficiency in diverse learning environments? Using case studies from Khan Academy and Kenya’s Digital Literacy Program (DLP), this research examines best practices that drive accessibility, improve academic performance, and strengthen teacher capacity. It further identifies systemic barriers such as limited digital literacy, resource constraints, and resistance to change. Insights from an interactive workshop session highlight innovative solutions, including digital literacy training, modular e-learning tools, and interdisciplinary collaborations. To bridge the gap between innovation and practical application, this study proposes a structured roadmap for implementation, emphasising needs assessment, piloting, capacity building, progress monitoring, and scalability. The findings underscore the importance of continuous professional development, stakeholder engagement, and strategic partnerships in fostering sustainable educational transformation. By offering evidence-based recommendations, this paper provides actionable insights for educators, policymakers, and organisations seeking to leverage educational innovation for long-term efficiency and impact.
