Abstract
For "Toriteri – L’être post-territoire" at Odradek Residence (Brussels, Belgium), I contributed as Associate Curator and authored the exhibition text, thus framing the conceptual and critical context of the project. My work situates the exhibition within my research interests in curatorial and critical spatial practices, using the post-territorial condition as a viewpoint to explore contemporary relationships between space, identity, and the concept of the territory itself.
Through the exhibition text, I articulated the underlying conceptual narrative, connecting the artists’ interventions to broader debates on non-hierarchical spatiality, relationality, and the destabilisation of traditional territorial frameworks. This curatorial framing provided visitors with the necessary interpretive tools in order to engage with the exhibition’s experimental gestures, linking the work presented to wider discourses on ecological and social dynamics.
My contribution underscores the critical role of curatorial mediation in shaping understanding of complex artistic projects, translating research-informed practices into a coherent public-facing narrative. By embedding the exhibition in ongoing dialogues about space, ecology, and post-territorial subjectivities, this work reflects my commitment to interdisciplinary approaches that integrate research, public outreach, curatorial practice, and critical writing.
