Abstract

Olive Gingrich will share their artistic practice and research into the design and facilitation of digital participatory art forms, and their effect on health. The talk will interrogate the notion of innovation as myth, specifically in the context of participatory art, a prominent strand of contemporary art for decades. Research questions interrogate the notion of  creative interactions in digital spaces, and how we can arrive at ethical and accessible participatory practices in the age of AI. Presented projects include collaborative artworks developed with the Analema Group (www.analemagroup.com), and NeuroCreate (www.neurocreate.co.uk) developed as part of the AHRC-funded p_ART_icipate research project (www.participateresearch.co.uk) on digital participatory art on wellbeing.
