Abstract

- BBC Digital Planet - the BBC World Service flagship technology show
Ghislaine was bi-weekly Studio Expert and Co-Host for this well recognised BBC World Service radio show from 2016 until its closing ( due to cuts) in 2023. She took part in over 150 shows. This role entailed being part of the producing team of 6, working on content ideas and preparation, live presentation and expert commentary. Transmitted 8 x a week into different timezones to a reach a global audience, also available as a downloadable Podcast and as archive. Examples of special shows that Ghislaine proposed, research, prepared and found and briefed guests and co-presented, directly link to her research "The Internet of Bodies"

- Fast Forward - tech past / tech future - a 6-episode podcast series of near-future narratives.Podcast | Season 2 - written and presented by Ghislaine Boddington.This international series (for corporate cybersecurity experts) explored the transformative shifts that emerging technologies will bring to our bodies, minds, and behaviours. Each episode featured engaging conversations with global experts, delving into the past, capturing up-to-date knowledge, and unlocking future visions. The themes link to Boddington's research work including The Metaverse Blend, Form Telegram to Telepresence, Extended self - our future digital twins and Cyborg Shifts.

- Somewhere on Earth: The Global Tech Podcast is a new weekly podcast (October 2023 to date) from the former BBC World Service Digital Planet team that looks at technology and how it impacts our daily lives. Ghislaine Boddington is one of 4 regular studio experts, adding in commentary to items related to our present day human condition in relationship to innovative technologies and future-scaping on the body and technology interfaces. Ghislaine has co-presented 18 shows to March 25 and interviewed a range of guests including Jimmy Wales, Beattie Wolf, Suki Fuller, Suzie Algre and Amanda Renteria amongst others, discussing internet shutdowns, AI for good, tech loneliness epidemic, AI and cancer detection, AI and governance, cybercrime and ransomware, Gen AI and education, data legacies, digitalising public life, whats your data worth, password futures etc. The Global Tech Podcast often interviews academics from a range of UK and international universities alongside creative industry experts in knowledge exchange engagement - it is published on all podcatchers including the Evergreen platform.
