“There’s a searchlight in the sky in my eyes but I’m climbing I’m climbing and I can see you you’re with me and the world is tumbling down. We’re tearing the world away. I see it. It’s not like she said. It’s not worse, you know, it’s better than worse. It’s beautiful and so are we.”
A spate of unsolved burglaries plagues the inhabitants of luxury city apartments. A detective seeks retribution for the victims and for himself. To catch them he’ll have to stop looking and start seeing. The perpetrators aren’t hardened career criminals. They’re just girls.
Scaling the walls into other worlds is one way of escape. The life the proceeds can buy is another. Neither means anything inside and as Rebecca’s isolation increases, she debates where her loyalties lie. As the group’s ambition grows the dangers heighten and they must decide if it’s freedom or greed that unites them. With capture inevitable, it is down to one member to choose whether they fall or fly.
Inspired by the real life case of the gang nicknamed the ‘spidergirls’.
Just because they’re hiding, it doesn’t mean they can’t be seen. Look up. The spidergirls are everywhere.
