Abstract
In recent times, the business environment has undergone significant changes, marked by the advent of platforms, the development of ecosystems, and the widespread impact of digitalization. These changes have deeply affected several fields like pharmaceutical (Robaczewska et al., 2019), semiconductor (Kuan & West, 2023) and electric vehicle (EV) (Rong et al., 2017), especially within the framework of open innovation. Open innovation, which describes knowledge inflows and outflows for improved innovation performance and value creation, is widely acknowledged as an important innovation management practice (H. Chesbrough et al., 2014; H. W. Chesbrough, 2003; Dahlander & Gann, 2010).
