Abstract

GROUPTHINK is a live networked performance by sitarist Shama Rahman, guitarist Mick Grierson and video generated by an AI trained on the National Gallery's collection. We aimed to experience an 'Internet of Neurons' where humans and AI share creativity. Streamed live by Ars Electronica, networked participants from around the world ‘made heart with their hearts’ through webcams that detected their cardiac rhythms and were incorporated into the performance.
