Abstract
Moribund State[s] is a limited edition artist book published by Project 78 Press. The book is a photographic essay surveying Hobbs' work and research behind his solo exhibition of the same name. Working with personal and public archival materials from areas in NorthEast Ohio, USA, Hobbs has created a unique narrative which explores memory of place, early experiments with lighting, architectural mishaps from the likes of Rex Humbard, and an ethnographic exploration of signage along an atrophied road. Additional texts were commissioned by Michael Smith (BBC Culture Show), Lisa Peachey and Sophie Shrubb. 124 pp with B&W and colour plates. Signed and numbered.
