Abstract

This workshop is delivered by the Primary MA Committee and is a response to the new government Multiplication Check Test to be administered in mainstream schools from 2020. It aims to unpick some of the crucial elements of teaching Times Tables with conceptual understanding. It will investigate the properties of multiplicative reasoning alongside its key representation in the primary classroom.
