Abstract
This paper presents the results of a parallel experiment investigating the effects of processing instruction on the acquisition of English third-person singular. Shool-age learners from two different language backgrounds were used. Sentence and discourse-level tasks were adopted in a pre-test and post-test design. In both data the processing instruction group made significant gains.
