Abstract

This book is part of the Continuum Research Methods in Education series. It describes and analyses research in the post-compulsory education (PCE) sector, including further education (FE). The authors provide an analysis of seven principles for carrying out action research in the post-compulsory sector to improve the implementation of change in technical, practical curriculum and organisational delivery through collaborative processes of inquiry. Practitioners in the further education sector need to develop confidence in their own research practices and establish recognition within higher education of practitioner research in further education. This book helps staff in this sector to develop their professional practice through research.
