Abstract
This is number 34 of the series of Victorian Fiction Research Guides and comprises a complete bibliographical description of one of the most popular Victorian fiction weeklies in the world. It covers the period from its inception in 1845 through the 1850s and 60s when it was most popular, with sales of up to 500,000 a week, to the end of its first series in 1883.
