Abstract

The article considers the limited scope for tenancies to end by a tenant accepting a landlord's repudiatory breach. It reflects on key features of the 1985 Law Commission proposals to introduce a tenant's termination order scheme, its potential benefits, and whether its non-implementation was a missed opportunity.
