Abstract

The keynote presented the Draft Zero of a PSIRU Report (on the recommendations of the Global Commission on the Economics of Water) at the Spanish Parliament in Madrid (24th March 2025). The PSIRU Report, co-authored with PhD student Conor Gray, is jointly commissioned by the global trade union confederation Public Services International and the Spanish association of public water operators AEOPAS. The event was hosted by the Spanish political party SUMAR and organised by civil society organisation Red Agua Pública. Other keynote speakers included the UN Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights to Safe Drinking Water and Sanitation, Professor Pedro Arrojo-Agudo.
