Abstract
This essay is co-authored by the module leader, Ewa Krolikowska, module tutor, Pamela Zigomo, and three BA Events Management graduates who were students on this module between 2021 and 2023: Jenny Hamblin, Joe Blomfield and Lauren Gater-Moray. Clothier and Matheson (2019) emphasise the importance of monitoring the long-term influence of working as co-creators by interviewing the participants after their engagement to see whether there has been any impact on their personal and professional development. In doing so, we are able to capture not only our own lived experiences of the dynamics of staff-student partnerships but also the experiences of graduates who have studied the module in their final year as undergraduate students and are able to reflect on its impact and relevance in preparing them for working in the events industry.
