Abstract

Gentrification and Heritage is central to discussions on the impact of immigration on the social and cultural capital in urban areas around London. Displacement of Caribbean peoples who settled in Peckham between 1960s and 1990s remains problematic. Their oral histories and supporting documents, underpins the Heritage and rich legacies left from the Caribbean presence and the influence of Caribbean culture and customs on the Peckham landscape.
