Abstract

The article discusses the courts' likely responses to tenants who breach a covenant in tenancy agreements prohibiting the keeping of dogs. Examines the outcome of cases involving deliberate and persistent breaches and exceptional circumstances, and notes key provisions of the Renters (Reform) Bill 2023-24.
