Abstract
This study is part of a wider project which is focussing on removing societal, health and economic barriers that males and females aged 16-24-year-olds face in accessing high quality, high value work with opportunities for progression. Exploring ways to support this age group will help to set the young people on a path to a fulfilling, healthy life and will have the most impact for future generations. This study aims to investigate the potential barriers and challenges young people aged 16-24 years old living in Leigh Park are facing in pursuing and seeking education, employment, and training. Furthermore, in order to gain a comprehensive and elaborate insight into the residents’ lives, the families of individuals’, organisations working with 16-24-year-olds in Leigh Park, businesses in Havant, and skills providers and employment agencies operating in Havant will also participate in this study allowing for a well-developed, evidence-based perspective to be gained.
