Abstract

Partnering with The National Gallery, Royal National Institute of the Blind and King’s College London, the arts collective Analema Group presents three new art pieces that reimagine classic artwork from the National Gallery’s world-famous collection as 360 online experiences.

Three video works transform colour data from Van Eyck’s The Arnolfini Portrait, Monet’s Water Lilies, Setting Sun and Van Gogh’s Wheatfield, Cypresses into 360 degree light and sound experiences available on YouTube and the National Gallery website.

This artwork KIMA Colour Van Eyck was co-created with Royal National Institute of the Blind and visually impaired participants resulting in four co-creation workshops on how to make these artworks more accessible. The research forms part of the AHRC funded participate project led by Dr. Oliver Gingrich at University of Greenwich and involving CNWL NHS Foundation Trust, and Brunel University
