Abstract

Learning scenography in Higher Education Institutions presents iterative cycles of conflict, where heterogeneous personal perspectives are negotiated and mediated with the use of material tools and technology. These orientating scenographic frictions enable novice practitioners to recognise other perspectives and ways of working, adopting, adapting or discarding methods across processional material encounters. In Higher Education Institutions, scenography practices are scaffolded by tutors to enable novice scenographers to stage material worlds with others, to resolve conflict and progress practice.
