Abstract
Summary of Chapter: Dementia is a complex syndrome that affects the body in a multitude of ways and this chapter has laid out how this cognitive condition can affect how you hear, see, walk, and eat – aspects of daily life that we largely take for granted until a dementia diagnosis is rendered and makes them challenging. These issues may start before the appearance of more expected dementia symptoms – thus, addressing and trying to correct them early on is beneficial to the overall treatment plan of dementia. The progression of dementia and its consequences vary for each person, making a multidisciplinary approach to care management all the more relevant.
