Abstract
The digital revolution is underway, and it has the potential to positively affect the UK’s economy and productivity. Innovation Hubs have become an increasingly prevalent innovation policy tool for the roll out of industrial digitalisation. In this context, this report was produced to help navigate the complexity of the Innovation Hubs’ landscape by examining their different dimensions and international examples. We explore the scope and governance models of Innovation Hubs through the review of the
international Industrial Digital Technologies testbed and living lab facilities and their functions. This will contribute to the identification of potential design principles, ‘business models’, and lessons learned, which might inform the development of UK MMS Innovation Hubs.
