Abstract

Despite the increasing emphasis on the importance of employability development in government policies, the concept of employability remains ambiguous when it is related to higher education. We claim that only emphasising individuals’ attributes would be to overlook the institutional responsibilities of universities, whose key responsibility is arguably to teach students on “learning how to learn”.
