Abstract

These three maps emphasise South London’s Elephant & Castle Market as a place of exploration, research and discussion. It focused on a visit to Elephant & Castle which encouraged participants to think about the specific spatial, social and cultural contexts of Elephant & Castle as well as the conceptual and methodological issues raised by doing social scientific research in markets. The maps were co-created by Ed Wall and Antonia Dawes for an experimental workshop at the NYLON Conference. 16-18 March 2014. London School of Economics, London.
