Abstract

We discuss how entrepreneurs’ emotions play a role in shaping international exit decisions. Our data presents the influence of positive (confidence, passion, empathy) and negative (fear, anger and disgust) emotions in international exit and entry. Using this evidence, we develop a conceptual model of the entrepreneur’s emotional processes from international exit strategies. This conceptual model shows how emotions shape entrepreneurs’ behaviours.
