Abstract

Group Business Project (GBP) is an important part of student curriculum in Business Administration suite of programmes. The activity involves students from two different years, level 4 (juniors) and level 5 (seniors), as well as external clients. In gist, students from level 5 form a company, pitch for a project offered by external client (company and/or organisation) and ‘employ’ level 4 students to then jointly work on the external project. Level 4 students at the end of the GBP are promoted by level 5 students, based on achievements, to senior roles which the students will undertake next year. The whole activity is consciously gamified to promote additional interest and excitement of being in ‘control’ of the learning process.
