Abstract

This composition was developed as part of the (I)MAGE/SOUND(S) programme event, a collaboration between Jim Hobbs and Andrew Hill.

This composition was entirely developed from recordings of a 16mm projector, exploring the textures and inner structures of the sound materials from this object.

The work combines both acousmatic sound and live performance, with a 16mm projector present on stage within the space, its sounds interacting and blending with the amplified and transformed sound materials projected from the loudspeakers.

Additional Information:	This was composed and performed as part of the (I)MAGESOUND(S) programme, a project celebrating the collaborative nature of artists and the resonance of sound and image. It was first presented at The Walter Bruno Auditorium, Lincoln Center, New York on 1st December 2016, and is scheduled to tour the UK in Autumn 2017.
