Abstract

Stem cells have the potential to cure many human diseases because they are not yet specialized and can become any type of cell in the human body; regenerative and can be used as an endless supply of live cells for self-repair.

This article aims to describe the recent progress in stem cell research and the likely future therapeutic applications of such research.
