Abstract

This paper describes the evaluation of the use of an e-portfolio system, PebblePad, on a first year Education Studies degree programme. The evaluation concentrated on the students’ experience of using PebblePad and found that students valued the system most for helping them to organise their work. There were marked differences in the experiences reported by students under and over 30, with more mature students reporting fewer technical problems and more ownership of the work they had produced.
