Abstract

The authors discuss non-islet cell tumour hypoglycaemia (NICTH), which is associated with increased insulin-like growth factors (IGFs) and Doege-Potter syndrome (DPS). They state that DPS was first reported in a patient with spindle cell tumor with spontaneous hypoglycaemia. Furthermore, the authors suggest that patients with spontaneous, fasting, and chronic hypoglycaemia with hypoinsulinaemia that show personality changes and lethargy should undergo diagnosis of NICTH.
