Abstract

The aim of this service evaluation was to explore whether leadership rounding enhanced patient experience and enabled its real-time integration into routine nursing leadership practice. Using a Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) approach, nurse leaders implemented leadership rounding to obtain first hand accounts of their patients’ care experiences. Findings suggest that leadership rounding contributed to improved leadership visibility and real time patient engagement, enabling earlier identification and timely resolution of concerns. Despite variable quantitative outcomes, the initiative supported a shift towards patient-centred leadership. Leadership rounding shows promise as a practical strategy to integrate patient voice into routine care.
