In this paper, a linear amplifier design technique employing the negative impedance compensation is introduced. The principle of the technique is demonstrated by using a transistor-level prototype circuit with the HFA3127 ultra high frequency transistor arrays. The simulated and measured results show that high linearity (8dB improved IMD3 and 6dB improved OIP3) and high gain accuracy (up to 28%) can be achieved with the proposed technique.
