Abstract

Expectant mothers live the experience of being pregnant and giving birth for almost a year, if one takes into account the preconceptional and puerperal stages of childbearing. Women may suffer from the physiological effects of pregnancy, or develop medical or obstetric complications; they may experience a veriety of emotional concerns as a result of the life changes now thrust upon them. These factors will undoubtedly have a bearing on their social, domestic and occupational lives
