Abstract
The goal of this research study is to examine the influence of Green Transformational Leadership (GTL) and Knowledge Management (KM) on Corporate Sustainable Development (CSD), with the mediating role of Green Innovation (GI). Based on Resource-Based View (RBV) theory, this study gives insight on how internal resources of organization lead to sustainable performance. This study employs a quantitative research method by using a self-administered questionnaire. The data was gathered from middle-level managers employed in the textile sector in metropolitan areas of Pakistan. The data was analyzed by using the statistical software SPSS and the structural equation modelling software Smart PLS 4. The research study found that the GTL style and KM practices have a substantial and beneficial impact on business sustainable growth. Furthermore, Green Innovation serves as a mediator between KM and CSD, as well as GTL and CSD. These findings highlight the importance of strategically connecting knowledge management (KM) and green transformational leadership (GTL) techniques, as well as employing creative solutions to achieve sustainability. These results are particularly valuable for practitioners seeking tangible ways to enhance sustainability within their firms. This research study also fills the significant gap in literature by studying the mediating role of GI on the link between GTL and CSD. Moreover, the study also investigates the joint examination of KM and GTL as drivers of Green Innovation and, consequently, Corporate Sustainable Development, which has not been studied before. The study goes beyond examining these components in isolation, providing a comprehensive approach that provides insight on their linked roles within the theory of RBV framework.
