Abstract

The article considers the availability of specific performance of a tenant's repairing covenant with particular reference to Rainbow Estates Ltd v Tokenhold Ltd [1999] Ch 64, reviewing the reasons why the remedy was once not available and a landlord could only recover damages for a tenant's breach of the covenant to repair.
