Abstract
This article, aims to investigate the newly developed internet finance in China, and to explore the reason, advantages, and risks associated with it. Starting from the discussion of the fast growth of internet finance, the article analyses the typical internet finance operating models in China; for instance, Yu’e Bao, P2P lending platforms, and Crowdfunding. The newly established Shenzhen (Futian) Internet Financial Industrial Park is studied. The article goes further to examine and identify the driving force, growth path, and market scandals. Last but not least, based on the observations of this research, some suggestions for future development are introduced.
