Abstract
This is the promo for the film Love Somehow, the images cut to a specially composed version of one of Dylan Thomas’s poems. Love Somehow is a thirty-minute, one-woman film in verse. It is adapted from the poem, The Same Boat, by Phil Bowen. It forms part of a project researching adapting poetry to the screen. The film explores Caitlyn’s relationship with poet Dylan Thomas as she struggles with their alcoholism, lack of money and a growing family. The film and accompanying promo are cutting copies and will be finished by June 2016 for submission to film and poetry festivals.
This promo was also shown at the JAM conference on April 14th 2016 accompanying a lecture presentation.
