Abstract

This, the second part of a two-part article, presents the findings of a survey into the operation of Part II of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and its code on commercial lease renewals. It examines modifications made to the Act's provisions on notice procedures and interim rent applications and details the survey's findings on issues that require reform, including clarification of a tenant's right to vary a lease after making a declaration.
