Abstract

Plenary presentation at Nights 2013 at the University of Padova, Italy, 27 Sep 2013. Organized by the EU-funded NEWIP network, this conference on nightlife and public health was attended by health professionals, volunteers, club/party organizers, public body representatives, and academics. This presentation aimed to introduce some core concepts in the study of the creative industries and the creative economy, and to link them with the concerns of those in public health and outreach work.
