Globalization in design and construction is expanding in scale and scope
- It affects increasingly smaller architectural practices and projects - expertise and talent are transnational, but professional standards, qualifications (and regulators issuing them) remain national
- The (G)Lobal Architect investigates how architects operate differently across the world and how they interact with the globalized nature of construction, design, finance and culture
- The (G)Lobal Architect documents the changes in the professional culture that have already occurred in architectural offices
- The (G)Lobal Architect focuses on the process of pervasive micro-globalizations – the effects of a globalised construction industry and architectural culture on the day to day work of local practices
