Abstract

Microneedle devices are spray coated by nozzles which jet dispense dots onto the individual needles of a microneedle device from a spray nozzle which is angled with respect to the plane of the microneedle device. An angle of between 70o and 45o is preferred and can be achieved by providing the microneedle devices on a support which is inclined at 20o to 45o to the horizontal and using a spray nozzle with a vertical axis.
