Abstract

The article discusses a landlord's options when reluctant to accept a tenant's wish to vacate the property before expiry of the term and to stop paying rent, including whether he should accept abandonment and claim loss of future rent for the remaining term, and if so whether he has a duty to mitigate the loss.
