Abstract

A presentation both describing regulatory requirements regarding fire safety in construction but also the conflict, contradiction and weakness in the regulatory framework. The presentation highlighted suggestions in which such risks could be mitigated by good planning.
In summary:
• An overview of the Construction Design and Management Regulations
• How do they dovetail with Building Regulations?
• How does Fire Safety feature and what is the Client role?
