Abstract

This final chapter of a two-volume history of the North Atlantic fisheries, undertaken by the North Atlantic Fisheries History Association and published by the German National Maritime Museum, examines the globalisation of fisheries in the second half of the twentieth century and traces the causes and consequences of expansion beyond the North Atlantic area since 1945.
