Abstract

Internet usage has been growing at a massive rate since the late 1990s. Today it is regarded as a medium for communication between companies and wide audience including customers, investors (present and futures), banks, lenders, suppliers etc. There is an enormous variety of information provided by companies' on the Internet non-financial one as well as the financial one.

The new way of presentation of financial information could be regarded as a huge advantage but a closer look shows the there is also the other side of the story. The purpose of this paper is to investigate issues, which have to be taken into consideration when deciding Internet for financial reporting purposes.
