Abstract

Distressing media reports often remind us of the lack of sensitivity and humanity in healthcare. However, many healthcare professionals believe in restoring compassion to care, and are keen to identify ways of achieving this. This report is a brief summary of a symposium (Greenwich University, June 201) with the aim of discussing compassionate care and sharing ideas and experiences. The event was a success, generating enthusiasm and continuing communication between participants.
